is a fourth-year PhD candidate in the English Department at the University of Iowa. Her scholarship focuses on the role of women in modernist culture and explores representations of the natural world in literature and visual art.

Tove is currently at work on her dissertation project, titled “The Species of Surrealism.” And she recently co-published an article titled “Radiant Bodies and Feminist Laboratories: Jean Rhys, Lee Miller, and the Modern Mannequin.”

Tove’s scholarship on modernism, visual culture, and the environment has appeared in journals such as Interdisciplinary Literary Studies and the Iowa Journal of Cultural Studies.
